Fusion
U19 Team in Regional Championships for Third Straight Year The weekend of July 9th, 2011, at the USYSA Region 1 National Championship Tournament in Lancaster,
PA, the Fusion Boys U19 squad played to a hard fought 1-1 tie with the eventual Group Championship team from Manhattan (ENY).
According to Head Coach Jim Franz, the team played extremely well but did not advance to the semifinals. This is the third straight
year that this Fusion team has advanced to the Region 1 Championships, and is believed to be the first time any team from
the Binghamton District or the Southern Tier has ever advanced to the USYSA Regionals three times. Congratulations to the players, coaches and families for this
amazing accomplishment!
