Fusion Boys U18 Win 2nd State Championship
The BC United Fusion Boys Under-18 soccer team won the NYSWYSA State Cup Championship
earlier this summer in Cortland, NY. As the number one ranked U18 boys team in the New York State West Youth Soccer
Association, they advance to the US Region 1 Championships in Barboursville, West Virginia next month.
During the Final Four round-robin tournament at Cortland State, the BC United Fusion
team defeated Amherst Soccer 5-1 and Syracuse Blitz Arsenal 4-3 and tied TC United 1-1.
This is the second
consecutive State Championship for the team, which also won the 2009 State Cup as U17s last year. The team
is part of the premier Fusion soccer program and is coached by Paul Marco, head coach of the NCAA Division I Binghamton
University men's soccer team. Coach Marco is assisted with the Fusion team by Matt Narode and Jim Franz.
Coach Marco is gratified by the team's efforts and success. "These boys
have continued to work hard over the years, improving both individually and collectively as a team. Coming off last
year's state championship, a lot was expected of them this season and they proved themselves to be up to the challenge.
I am pleased with their soccer accomplishments and even more proud of the men they are becoming off the field. This
is what we work toward in the Fusion program."

and soccer destinations set for the coming fall:
